ACTUARIAL ASSOCIATE (PERSONAL LINES)

IMT Insurance is looking to hire for the position of Actuarial Associate (Personal Lines) within our Research & Development department. You will be responsible for independently developing rate level indications and recommendations for multiple lines of business and for the development of appropriate state rate filing materials. A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Independently develop rate level indications and provide rate recommendations for multiple lines of business.
• Independently develop rate filing materials and support to state insurance departments.
• Development and maintenance of competitive analysis.
• Assist with maintaining profitability for multiple lines of business.
• Maintenance of Rating Engines.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A college degree or equivalent needed to perform normal functions plus 5+ years of experience is needed to perform essential functions of the job.
• Must have completed 5 actuarial exams. In lieu of 5 exams, must have 4 exams and 10+ years of experience.
• Develop technical expertise and knowledge of current trends and techniques in the market
• Must be very detail oriented while maintaining accuracy
• College Degree (BS/BA) preference to quantitatively oriented field of study
• Ability to listen and communicate to the customer, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to operate standard office computer systems. Developing skills applicable to the advanced usage of Excel
• Developing skills and applicable to the intermediate usage of databases, including SQL programming language
• Must possess the ability to work well with others.

The salary range for this position is $95,000.00 - $125,000.00

Starting salary and level of position will depend on level of experience

This position is not eligible for tips or commission but may be eligible for additional bonuses

Fully remote work involves important payroll and legal considerations for the company. IMT has identified eligible states of residence for continued employment with IMT. Eligible states include: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin.
