MANAGER OF PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

IMT is hiring a Manager of Product Development to join our Research & Development department. The manager will be responsible for driving the development and management of insurance products, ensuring that IMT products meet market demands and comply with regulatory requirements. A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Lead the development of all personal and commercial lines products, including new products and enhancements
  • Oversee the preparation of rate and form filings and responses to insurance departments
  • Oversee the maintenance and creation of company forms and endorsements
  • Serve as a technical resource and partner with underwriting in the development of rules and guidelines
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and product enhancements
  • Ensure product compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Collaborates with cross functional teams to launch, improve and deliver upgrades to the company’s portfolio of insurance products
  • Develop strong working relationships with field, underwriting, and claim partners to identify product opportunities to maximize profit and growth
  • Lead a team of technical and professional staff

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS/BA Degree, previous staff management/supervisory experience and/or 7 or more years of insurance related experience, including 5 or more years of compliance, product development or actuarial experience (preferable 7 or more years)
  • CPCU required – in lieu of CPCU, an MBA/JD or a MS/MA in a technical or quantitatively oriented field is acceptable
  • Basic Microsoft Word & Excel, Adobe Acrobat
  • Develop working knowledge of HP Exsteam.
  • Actively listens with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Understands how to communicate difficult and sensitive information tactfully
  • Ability to pay close attention to details and concentrate up to fifty percent of work activities
  • Analyze problems and implement solutions
  • Maintain basic knowledge of the impact of reinsurance on product design
  • Develop or maintain a working knowledge of company policy and loss administration systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of insurance principals and procedures, rating, methodologies, and state insurance regulation and filing requirements
  • Understanding of financial principles
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to negotiate on product and systems development issues
  • Must possess the ability to work well with others

The salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $141,000.00

Starting salary and level of position will depend on level of experience

This position is not eligible for tips or commission but may be eligible for additional bonuses
