PRODUCT ANALYST II

IMT Insurance is looking to fill the position of Product Analyst II to join our Research and Development Department. This individual will research, develop and enhance new and existing property casualty insurance products utilizing market intelligence. A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Create and develop new coverages and policy enhancements
  • Assist in researching, developing and enhancing new and existing property casualty insurance products
  • Monitor and review relevant rating and form bureau activity
  • Coordinates rate and forms changes with internal staff and communicates changes to field staff
  • Respond to routine insurance department questions or concerns
  • Respond to routine regulatory and compliance questions and concerns
  • Prepare rate and form filings and monitor the status of those filings
  • Develop and maintain company manual pages, forms and endorsements
  • Serve as a technical underwriting resource and partner with underwriting in the development of rules and guidelines
  • Analyze competitive market intelligence to identify trends and conduct in depth research of competitor filings
  • Perform ad hoc analyses on internal and external data to support data driven decisions

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced knowledge of personal or commercial lines products.
  • Experience in writing policy language.
  • Experience in compliance/insurance regulation.
  • Experience in researching, developing and enhancing new and existing property casualty insurance products
  • Actively listens with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Understands how to communicate difficult and sensitive information tactfully
  • Ability to pay close attention to details and concentrate up to fifty percent of work activities
  • Analyze problems and implement solutions
  • Maintain an advanced understanding of insurance regulation with respect to underwriting, rating and forms
  • Develop or maintain a working knowledge of company policy and loss administration systems
  • Understands product rating structures and principles of pricing products with respect to primary line of business
  • Maintain basic knowledge of the impact of reinsurance on product design
  • Must possess the ability to work well with others.
  • BS/BA Degree or equivalent with 5 or more years of insurance related experience (preferable 7 or more), including 5 or more years of compliance, product development or actuarial experience
  • CPCU preferred – in lieu of CPCU, an MBA/JD or an MS/MA in technical or quantitatively oriented field is acceptable.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word & Excel, Adobe Acrobat

The salary range for this position is $54,000.00 - $107,000.00

Starting salary and level of position will depend on level of experience

This position is not eligible for tips or commission but may be eligible for additional bonuses
