CORPORATE PARALEGAL

IMT Insurance is currently searching for a highly organized and detail-oriented Corporate Paralegal to join our Legal department. This position plays a key role in supporting the Legal department by conducting legal research, managing compliance initiatives, overseeing contract administration, and serving as a liaison between internal stakeholders and the Legal team. You must have strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, a collaborative spirit, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment. A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Legal Research & Regulatory Support:
    • Conduct legal research on business law, insurance laws, regulatory filings, and compliance obligations.
    • Monitor changes in state and federal insurance regulations and assist in implementing necessary updates to internal policies and procedures.
  • Compliance & Governance:
    • Support the legal team in maintaining compliance with state departments of insurance and other regulatory bodies.
    • Assist with corporate governance matters, including entity management, annual filings, and board documentation.
  • Contract Lifecycle Management:
    • Draft, review, and manage a wide range of contracts, including producer agreements, vendor contracts, and service-level agreements.
    • Maintain and improve the contract management system, ensuring timely renewals, compliance tracking, and version control.
  • Legal Intake & Stakeholder Communication:
    • Manage the legal intake process, triaging requests and ensuring timely and accurate responses.
    • Serve as a liaison between the legal department and internal business units, including underwriting, claims, compliance, and finance.
  • Administration and Legal Operations Support:
    • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling, document preparation, and file management.
    • Assist with litigation support, subpoena responses, and coordination with outside counsel as needed.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in paralegal studies or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program and 5+ years of experience as a paralegal required.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal operations tools (e.g., CLM platforms, matter management software).
  • Ability to adapt to change and manage competing priorities.
  • An innovative mindset with a desire to develop new or enhance existing legal processes and systems.
  • Interest in legal operations, process automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • In-house experience, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with P&C insurance products, regulatory requirements, and compliance frameworks.
  • Notary Public certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and manage competing priorities.
  • An innovative mindset with a desire to develop new or enhance existing legal processes and systems.
  • An interest in legal operations, process automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Must possess the ability to work well with others.

The salary range for this position is $76,000.00 - $99,000.00

Starting salary will depend on level of experience

This position is not eligible for tips or commission but may be eligible for additional bonuses
