HELP DESK TECHNICIAN

IMT Insurance is seeking a Help Desk Technician to join our fun and growing team. As a Help Desk Technician, you will be responsible for providing first-class technical assistance and support for IMT employees, both in-house and remote. Main duties will be responding to inquiries in a timely manner, updating equipment and providing technical expertise. The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, strong customer service orientation, solid PC skills and a problem-solving oriented mind set. A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Provide 1st tier technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software.
  • Respond to inquiries either in person, over the phone, or by email. Ask questions and walk user through the process to determine a solution.
  • Perform Computer Operator job functions such as run/monitor Mainframe jobs, ordering paper, and running print jobs as needed for all shifts.
  • Use remote support tools to access user’s computer.
  • Use department ticketing system to manage issues, document steps taken, communicate with end user, and track assets.
  • Provide top tier customer service to IMT employees including, but not limited to upper management.
  • Create and maintain documentation. Both internal and external to the department.
  • Provide training for various systems via one to one or one to many classes/calls.
  • Install, modify, clean, and repair computer hardware, peripherals, and software.
  • Create, maintain, and deploy computer images.
  • Ensure that the department onboarding and offboarding processes are completed per company guidelines.
  • Maintain technical expertise and knowledge of current trends and techniques in the market.
  • Work with and provide assistance to System/Network Architects as needed.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates Degree or relevant experience.
  • Comprehensive analytical and problem-solving skills required with the ability to be very detail oriented while maintaining accuracy.
  • Ability to listen and communicate internally/externally to the customer, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work well with others and consistently provide effective, timely and courteous service to the customer.
  • Ability to guide and provide proper advice to customers on products and functions.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and simultaneously handle multiple projects.
  • Must understand system interrelations and adapt to work with any system.
  • Ability to perform physical activities of reaching, stretching, bending, moderate lifting (40lbs)
  • Ability to get under desks/conference tables or work in limited space to install/repair/replace technology

The salary range for this position is $48,000.00 - $64,000.00

Starting salary will depend on level of experience

This position is not eligible for tips or commission buy may be eligible for additional bonuses
